Headed up over the weekend on the 19-20th. We'll camp overnight, most likely at Lydia (if you know where that is).
I'll be there with a buddy and possibly the wife and kids. Pacific NW 4x4 guys will be there as well but this is in no way an exclusive event. There'll be plenty of people running green and blue (and a few black) trails so it's a good way to get your feet wet.
I'll have the front locker in hopefully, and I may try my pie in the sky goal of Can Opener (double black).
This obviously isn't GMT360 specific, so bring whatever you want to crawl up trails/over rocks with.

That's an easy 2,100 mile trip for me... one way. Ha. I'll see the trails from here.
I just looked at the ODF site at http://www.oregon.gov/ODF/tillamookstat ... port.shtml and it looks like only trail 22 and 24 are open? I guess you'll be hitting up the Browns and Lyda Camps? Unless rainy season there is already over and/or timber companies have moved on?
They keep those up as kind of a "disclaimer" that they can shut a trail down to logging activity. Last fall they had the same spread basically and everything was open.
Browns and Lyda are where the truck accessible trails are.
Another note to anyone who is thinking about going. You will need an Oregon OHV permit. $10 at most places that sell motorcycles/ATVs. There's also a gas station on the way that sells them, but they are sometimes out.
I'm not set up for camping overnight, but I might make it up for the day. Probably Saturday. I"m not in Dubai anymore. I'll be coming in from Sherwood, OR.

Current plan is to meet at Lyda camp no later than 9am. We'll be on CB channel 22. I'll respond to Fishsticks.
If anything changes I'll post here, or feel free to register at pnw4x4s.com and keep tabs on the thread yourself.
We are meeting at the Shell station in Glenwood on Highway 6 (the last one before you enter TSF) at 8-8:30am Saturday morning. Most folks are just wheeling for the day but some of us will be camping up there overnight and wheeling Sunday also. We'll camp @ Lyda if you come later. CB channel 22.
Tires required. Lift recommended, but there are enough winches and straps in the group to yank you out if needed. Buy an Oregon OHV permit.
There's some volunteer work going on on the Roger's Camp side on Saturday, we may show up and lend a hand.
Does look like fun, can't wait for the wheelin' season to start here... few more weeks.
Now how much of a difference did you noticed from before the locker with the ease of climbing up the harder stuff? I'd imagine everything is a bit easier as you don't have to worry about any loss of traction with any of the tires of the ground..
Build Thread Back to stock, had fun while it lasted...

The truck never hesitated, even from a dead stop on a wet, muddy incline. The only time I had any trouble at all was then I parked the truck in snow up past the frame rails and got back in to take off. All 4 wheel spinning with nothing to grab onto. A quick jerk on one of the front hooks and I was on my way.
Most of us had families with us, so the idea was to keep to the reasonable stuff. No one wanted to go home broken, yet one guy did. (Fortunately he brought a trailer) I'll get a rematch on the rocks that broke my last rear end next time I go up.
Here's the dash video that matches the one from above.
Here are some stills...
On the trails...
Here's a Nissan Titan that went with us. He was bottoming out all over the place and quit after the second trail.
This Bronco had open diffs and was constantly stuck. He ended up losing half of his exhaust and dropping his starter by the end of the day.
Here's me patiently waiting to go play.
There's just a little snow up here.
Camp.
Our good friend (and roommate) Darren with my wife and kids.
Me and the fam.
My wife doesn't drink beer, ever... or does she?
Packing and airing up Sunday morning. We weren't done but I wanted to be ready to hit pavement when we were.
Here's my attempt at the Expo look.... whatcha think?
I have a lot of dash cam video I need to go through. I'll try to cut some down and get it up here soon. Sunday turned out to be more interesting than I planned. I ended up on an extremely tight trail that was really slick with full PSI tires and a fully loaded rig. Just the gold K5 and I went, as everyone else went home... which is good because nothing bigger than us was getting through w/o damage.
I already have to repaint my sliders... probably the skid plates too.
