I am not sure if this is feasible but an idea no less. Have you thought about threading the center bore rather than using a bushing. It could serve multiple purposes if all strut threads and sizes are the same. It would essentially turn the strut into more of an adjustable coil over set up. It would eliminate the rubber isolator and reduce wear. It would be followed up with a jam nut design so that it would not loosen. A lower position would allow a firmer ride and an extended position would allow a slight increase in height. Just an idea for more input.

That wouldn't work. The upper mount is a joint and needs to be able to pivot... slightly, but it pivots. The bushings allow the pivot.

Also, adjusting that mount location would only serve to adjust your suspension extension, it would not affect ride height or stiffness.

I would also like to know if there is some sort of release date planned. I plan on ditching my avalanche parts in the rear for the sky jacker coils, and will need the extra lift up front to compensate. Plus all 4 shocks are gona be up for a replacement soon. And I want to do it all in one shot.

I will have one piece for test fit this weekend.
If all goes well i plan on haveing 4 pieces made for testing on two trucks for a short period as i am confident of the new design. However i must be sure there are no issues!! Safety First!!

Probably looking at January for a release date..
Cost is yet to be determined, but like my other products..i will try to keep it affordable for everyone..

At some point i would like to offer a pre assembled strut assembly as a bolt in lift with a choice of springs.
For the guys that dont have spring compressors or suspension tools..

Just don't expect too much of Mark. Keep in mind he still doesn't have an initial prototype run. Products can sometimes take years before kinks are worked out and all the necessary testing is done. I don't know what Mark's schedule is, but spring may be a tad advanced of a timeline... The biggest question with a product like this is long term metal fatigue and wear of the bushings. I imagine Mark wants to get as much time on this product to prevent another PCM4U E-fan fiasco.

Oh and Mark... I'm still waiting on that banner! PM me if you need the details again.

Everyone wants to prototype, but I am sure Mark can tell you...it is not nearly as easy as it seems. The body lift brackets meant putting on and removing a couple times a week, modifying, drawing, pictures, shipping, recieving, several hours a week for weeks.

Prototyping is never really free. There is almost always some money involved and a ton of time. Mark has plenty of help, just needs time like everyone else.

I think he is getting closer. i saw the metal prototype and hope to get ahold of it soon. The only real drawback is the putting together and taking apart the front suspension numerous times. even more work that putting bumpers and brackets on and off. But Mark is a damn good guy and I am sure he will put out a good product.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

I'm with Kyle seen the metal prototype and hope to get my hands on it next time me and mark get together, I believe he's ordered a strut to make sure it all fits together correctly, but James is also right is the metal fatigue over time, could result in a massive failure,

Mark don't feel rushed we are patient.

But testing will probably be a few months of solid feedback back to mark, but I'm sure with his design it should be good, mark most likely redesigned it multiple times, he seems very confident that this is a soild design

The main thing I worry about is the upper shock mount tab. I'm not sure what thickness he's making this mount, but I hope he didn't match the BDS thickness, as there's a huge difference between aluminum shear strength and steel... I imagine Mark took this into account... but I wanted to say it here to ensure it was considered.

I think it's more about everyone wanting "freebies" for testing purposes. I agree that it isn't nearly as simple as just bolting on and going. With any new product, there is no way to have all of the bugs out right off the bat. I'm sure there will be numerous tweaks, especially since it is less of an improvement of previous designs and more of a new concept. Either way, good luck. I can't wait to see some real testing and hopefully it will be an improvement that I want to get.

:Iagree:

You have to earn your free parts... and there aren't a lot of people who have the time/ability to do everything that proper testing would require. Many of us who do already have our own custom setups finished and don't want to touch them anymore. I know I'm done taking apart my front suspension for a long time.
