Well I def. Don't mind taking my suspension on and off, it needs to cone off for springs and shocks, bit also what cones with the free parts is that you have to swallow the cost of any damages I.e. A catastrophic failure in the strut and tire falling into upper fender , not sure if that's valid possibility but you get the point

They look like at least 3".

I like that you tapped a hole for the 3rd bucket hole. How far down are the other two studs tapped? Were you able to sink the shock rod tube down much to get anymore length out of the shock?

Thanks Kyle

The 2 stud looking bolts are countersunk, drill & tapped from the spring side with a allen head bolts portrudeing on the mount side. The other mounts are heli coiled for better thread contact, just an option for the guys that need the extra bolt.
The shock tube mount was lowered a little, but remember that is your downward travel limiter..didnt want to change that alot just yet.
The new design should give 3" of front lift easy.

Very nice job on the new design. I have been following this for the most part and may be confusing ideas given with the actual design itself. I guess that I am looking for a little additional clarification on your newest design. I understand that this design was to eliminate the upper mount/bushing like BDS and Rough Country. And my understanding was that it was going to create lift through compression like the old design but incorporate additional lift by external means without the need of the 1/2" spacer. But I also thought that the design was to relieve spring stress so that someone could use stiffer springs while keeping the strut from possibly topping out. It may be an optical illusion but it seems that this design would create more tension than the prior design. Is there any insight that you can give me on this? Maybe I just need to see it mounted.

As a side note, this post is not an attempt to knock your design by any means. Your products have always been top notch and cutting edge in my book! Without your assistance there would not be as many lifted vehicles as you have absorbed a lot of costs thus helping everyone.

We have come a long way from when I purchased my vehicle new in 2003. At that time I don't remember seeing or finding a lift for our platform. I thought that the only way I was going to get any lift was to write Monster Garage for help. Thanks again Mark!

Mark, make sure there is a generous radius (10mm+) on the transition between upper shock mounting plate and the spacer body to prevent stress concentrations.

I see what you are asking, but am haveing a hard time describeing the difference.
If you stack a 1/2" out of strut spacers on the factory mount. the center strut nut is pretty even with the top of the 1/2" spacer.
The new design lowers the strut mount by 3/4" (center bore) yet keeps the 1/2" top spacer incorporated in the design.

This IS a prototype, so we will see on the 27th if my calculations are correct.
As long as the truck doesnt drop by 3 inches we are golden.. :mechanic:

Thanks James
I will pass that on to the machine shop.
I think he figured 1/8" in the program.
Also, the center bore will have 82deg. for grommet seat. each side.

I def want to revamp all my suspension parts. quick disconnects, skyjacker rear coils, bds shocks, and up front i will need new struts and springs soon. Id consider selling my BDS front lift to help pay for yours since it will give me a bit more lift.

keep up the good work. i hope these test well and we get access sooner rather than later.

thanks
What i am doing goes against all marketing odds, designing a part for a platform that is no longer produced just doesnt make good sense to market analasists. The clock is ticking!

Yeah its a little late, but i am all about the gamble for my friends!

:excited: I can't weait to see how this shakes out. Several day trip to parks for events this time of year. Toys for Tots has runs at about every park around. Many benefit runs for Christmas and things, so I should be able to test them out.
