Any time. I can get them out like skidplates (1-4 weeks from order, depending on what I've got going on), since I have very little time in them.

Just out of curiosity what does a parts kit weigh for a bumper. No extras just the basic kit. I ask for two reasons shipping and added weight to the front of the TB. My wife messed up her bumper backing out of the garage and I've been looking for a good aftermarket bumper and yours is the only one that even remotely looks legit. I contemplated building one but I think the money for the kit will be we'll spent. If you get a chance can you quote shipping to 79705. It's no rush at all her bumper is all zip tied back on for now.

Took me a minute... You mean how much does it weigh? It weighs right at what a finished one weighs, around 100#.

Not really. At this point, winch bumpers are made piece-by-piece, seam welded, and ground. Making a kit for one would take me 1.5 hours less time than making a finished one.

2" receiver install:

Find the center on the inside, trace the receiver, and cut it out either with a cutoff wheel or torch/plasma/whatever.

Grind paint or powder off of receiver

Tack it in, in the middle of the "top" on the front, at 3.25" from front of bumper to front of receiver, then square left to right, and tack the upper 2 corners, then go inside and tack it flat against the upper bumper mount.

Burn in the front

Burn in the back side, 1-layer all the way around, then do the 2nd and 3rd pass, for a nice big fillet to transfer stress better.

Then cut (2) pieces 3" x 2" and fillet or bevel 2 of the corners on the 3" sides, to clear the weld and bent edge.

Place them in like so, and weld all around

5" lights:

Place the cut tube pieces from me where you want them, and so that they look "forward" (not out to the sides) as shown, and trace inside and outside of the tube, then torch/plasma/jigsaw between the 2 lines. (this is something that I can cut out for you, for a nominal fee, if you don't have any of the above tools).

Put the tube in from the back so that it faces "forward" (long part toward the middle of the bumper), tack it in, then seam weld as shown.

Clean it up roughly with a grinder

Then with a flap disc

Then with a flap wheel on a die grinder, or a sanding drum on a Dremel, as I did the first couple (but a dremel is REALLY slow).

Next, the light mounts. Bolt the light mount tab to the light, then position the light as needed, and tack the mount in. Remove the light, and burn in the mount.

Then run a 4.5" flap disc around everything to smooth it all out, including the cut front edges of the shackle mounts, and you're good to go to paint.

I really need to buy myself a welder and learn .... My one connection who could have welded it for me is being deployed to south Korea until said time.

Any suggestions on brands Mike?

My personal suggestion is a Miller 211 (and Hobard 210) because they're small, weld 3/8 in a single pass, and work on both 120V and 220V. The only problem I had with the 211, that caused me to get the 252, was the duty cycle not being meant for any kind of production welding.

However, not everybody wants to spend $1k on a welder, so barring that, any name brand welder in 220V would be my next suggestion, then any name brand welder in 120V, then any of the HF/China/everlast/longevity/whatever welders.
