Thanks guys!

Wow, that paint is trashed! That's like 3 coats of the brush-on Rustoleum Hammered, too! Mine just had about 20-30 little rock chips that were rusted...

Oh I know, I can't believe how bad it got trashed, but I do drive a lot, and the winters here are rough. Will fix it with some Herculiner soon.

It's a tight squeeze but do-able... but I couldn't tell ya the last time I had to take the grille off and its two easy bolts to loosen up if I need to move the bumper a bit anyway.

I've found myself having to do it a few times since my bumper was created. Wiring the big lights, wiring the winch, wiring the fog lights... I dunno, just one of those things I was curious about. Removing my bumper is a PITA due to wiring, skidplate, and the interference fit with the frame.

How far in front of the holes on the alum oil pan skid plate do you need to cut to modify it for installing the rad skid ?

on my steel rad and oil pan skids, the ends overlap and share the same bolts. if you have bolt protectors on your oil pan skid you would have to grind or cut them off so the rad skid would lay flat over the end of the oil pan skid

I dont have the bolt protectors . I have read that for ease of removal of the oil skid to change the oil you should cut off a bit of the overlap . Heres a pic I saw in a thread somewhere ....

if i take off the 4 bolts i can slide the oil pan skid out from under the rad skid. however i got both of these skids at the same time. maybe it was made a little different for ease of removal. i would think you could cut it off an inch or so after the bolt holes so you dont have as much to slide out from under the rad skid.

I mounted my oil skid over the rad skid.. No bolt protectors but if I had them, I wouldn't have to grind them down. Easier to drop skid for oil changes...

i see now jamesdub, the oil pan skid curves up in the front. you see mine came flat. should be good tho if you cut that off.

Hardtrailz, is that a different bumper or your old bumper in black?
I like the look!

New. High voltage has my last one. This one will likely get some tube and powdercoat when there is time. Also has the reciever I didn't have before.

Awesome, it looks good. I think the black breaks up the white nice. It goes well with the "backwoods edition" :-)

Kyle came over today to help me put a brush guard on SteeveO's bumper, and to help me tack up DJones' bumper; and we went ahead and bent up some tube for a light hanger / deer catcher on his bumper...
