I've got a lot of stuff coming up (more work trips overseas + holiday related travel) but I'd like to fit in a little trip to Green Ridge - and then a trip back to Rausch soon too!

It was a cool park - but it's not my normal cup of tea - I'd generally prefer to be in a national forest or something because you're away from people. It's a good proving ground though. I look forward to going back to see how much of a difference upgraded springs make.

I wonder if those with my bumpers and skids could post pics on the MDB Fab facebook page?

I know, I know... No pics or it didn't happen, :viking: but last night I finally cut up my brushguard and welded it to my bumper. Looks awesome and exactly how I was picturing it to look like in the end.

I'll get some pics up tonite, since I don't have a camera phone or nothing. Still need to finish it by rolling on some Herculiner, but that'll wait til I get a decently warm weekend.

I'm so freak'in jealous.

How much of the brush guard got cut off the bottom? Did you need to bend it out?

It looks right. Well done.

Thanks man!

As for how much I cut off, I'd say about 4" off the bottom, then just cut it to the contour of the bumper for a good weld. A little close to the grill, about 1/4" gap.

And it did not have to be bent. The spacing of the sides of the grille guard and the shackle mounts are 3" each side, so fit perfect.

Looks good!

Wow, that paint is trashed! That's like 3 coats of the brush-on Rustoleum Hammered, too! Mine just had about 20-30 little rock chips that were rusted...

Looks real good Nick. Follows the vehicle lines well. Big question, can you remove the grille without removing the bumper?
