The radiator skid prototype on Kyle's TB did amazingly well this weekend at TECORE III, so I'm doing a few more to get the design finalized... This is just to get the correct hole positions and stuff, so I'll be drilling the holes by hand, on my TB for this run... Yes, these will fit under the stock bumper cover, and stock tow hooks will mount to them. You will have to make a small (dremel or metal shears) slot in the bottom of your stock metal bumper support to mount the tow hooks, though.

I'm making (4) radiator skids this first run, and just put the order in for them, so it'll be a couple or 3 weeks until they're ready to go... One of them is staying on my TB, and the other 3 are up for grabs...

Unless something really funny happens with the pricing I get from work, these should be $250 with hardware, but unpainted and unshipped... Shipping will be on an individual basis, as these are heavy enough that it will matter where you are in relation to me...

Here are some pics of the prototype, which will be the same design, with only a couple small dimensional tweaks (1/8" here, 3/16" there)...

Awesome. This skid allowed me to not even pick a line, just go right down the center without worry on several obstacles. Other than a bit of lost paint it held perfect. Well worth the price.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

Thanks, guys! I'm really happy with how it held up to being absolutely SMACKED a few times this weekend!

I don't have orders for any of the other 3, but doing several at once spreads out my setup costs, so I don't mind hand-drilling the mounting holes on this run for it... I figure I'll take "dibs" on who can pony up in the next month or so, when I'm ready to ship them, so those few who have been waiting on these for some time now can get them...

Also, I'll be trying on Kyle's bumper and seeing what has to be changed, so I can make a non-body-lift bumper in the next couple weeks, as well...

Too bad you're not a little farther north, or I wasn't a little farther south. I could drive down and get it. :drive:

I have a few more maintenace items to take care of, then I want one. If not this run, the next :drool3:

This first run appears to be booked up, but things happen, and money hasn't changed hands yet, so let me know if you're interested...

Thanks,

Does this mean you ditched that silly notion of 20's and scraping speed bumps... or is this for the speed bumps?

Im sry, im currently accessing from my cell and didnt see that.

Nahh, this is for the speed bumps :finger:

No longer going down. I thought long and hard-no point in trying to look like an SS when i cant keep up with them. Nothing i own can ever stay the way i received it, so stock is not an option. So i said fcuk it, i cant do much worse than i already have right? (unless i do it again) Not to mention the wealth of knowledge i now have regarding our trucks. Ill just keep it as is. Oh yea, the kid backed out for the swap anyways so alwell.

cant wait to get rubber on my 15"ers :coffee2:
