Coolant Flush, should I replace lower rad hose while there?

I should mention, I am replacing the thermostat and coolant sensor as preventative maint, so it looks like Alternator has to come off.

Hose is $30. At 150k, would you keep factory hose...or replace with in-stock autoparts store brand?

Why bother doing some preventative maintenance and not others? Especially when it's all related and connected?

Yeah, you are right. It looks like that hose will be completely removed anyway. So might as well replace it especially since I have a $20 cred.

Any downside to reusing OEM clamps?

Those clamps tighten up like a MF. Seriously, no reason to replace them. Just reuse them, and WATCH YOUR FINGERS.

I agree. The clamps were still good, and were holding tight.

However, I replaced them with standard clamps to simplify servicing. I would hate to have to mess with one of those clamps on the side of the road (especially the lower hose that goes into the Therm.)
