Installing an Aux Trans Cooler.

I found the fitting for the line that goes into the Rad.

But what about avoiding cutting the line that goes into the trans OR at least using a compression fitting so I don't have to flare?

I just cut the line and used 3/8" compressions on it.

Though, if you've got the inline-6, the trans cooler lines are run in such a way that you can separate them at the quick-connect fittings on the passenger side frame and use this quick connect barb fitting to go into the female side.

I picked up a double flaring tool. Figured I would try that first.

This job is now down. Double flaring set was $22. I felt like it was simpler with less connections.

I just cut the lines and flared them. I tried to take one off to drain a little fluid....was VERY difficult to remove the hose from the flared line.
