Interesting factoid: Most domestic manufacturers used SAE fasteners in their vehicles until the US Military changed their requirements to include metric fasteners on any vehicle made for the military, probably to aid maintenance overseas. It was at this point that the major manufacturers, especially GM, switched their entire lines over to metric to meet this standard.
22 mm is the largest metric size you'll need, and you'll also want an Allen wrench set, as well as some of the more common standard and metric open-end wrenches.
I say a trip to Harbor Freight is in order, your one-stop shop for tools you thought you had or didn't know you needed to complete a job.
