Front end noise

I know, there are a ton of these threads. I'm having trouble understating one persons explanation of an issue and comparing it to mine.

I am having a noise that doesn't sound like grinding, but rather metal rubbing. Not high pitched. It's definitely something rotating and not popping. And from the front end.

I'm assuming it's a hub because it seems to go away at higher speed and doesn't get louder while braking.

My issue is, when I jack up my TB, should my front wheels spin freely? Or with ease? They aren't stuck by any means, but not really freely spinning. I wasn't sure if that was a sign of an issue either.

Honestly, if you can't see it. Maybe the inside pad of the front brakes are pretty low? Assuming you pushed away all of the brake shields

Kind of embarrassing, but there were some small rocks or maybe salt in between the pads and rotors. Pulled ally the pads and everything is good to go now.

Glad you got it sorted out. Rocks in the dust plate are common in these.
