Snow Plow

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

I'm looking to have a plow installed on my 03 Trailblazer EXT. It has MarkMC 3" suspension lift with 32's. I was wondering if anyone had an idea on how much weight the front end could hold? This would help me out with the decision on what plow to mount.

A lot of us have ~300lbs of bumper/skid/winch weight at the front, but that's not the issue with plowing. Plowing destroys even 3/4 - 1-ton truck front ends just because of the loads and shock of actual plowing.

Check out that thread. Looks like you have 85 or 86 springs. I'd imagine a utility plow would be just fine with those springs. If anything you could just get 87 or 88 springs. I'd think if our front ends could handle an steel bumper they could handle the weight of a plow ;). Make sure you get some weight in the back if you do though!
