Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Second thoughts..

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

Yes hahaha ... I'm keeping a close eye on everything. I actually just got a transmisson oil cooler but I'm having a hardtime finding a place for it and how to install it.. But I haven't really had any free time lately.

Erg, that reminds me -- I had planned to change my transmission over to full synthetic this Summer and completely forgot about it. Doubt I'll still have a chance while the weather is nice, guess I'll have to do it next year. Anyone know off-hand what the standard interval is for complete transmission oil changes?

I never do a complete change. Partial and filter is it. Definitely no chance of a power flush.

they've always worked for me.

About the closest I got was filter change and then refilling the tranny after it was partially drained during the engine swap.

I mounted my tranny cooler to the front of the a/c condenser directly in front of the fan. Zip tied it to the hood latch supports.

Sure thing, the trick is to get it tight enough that it doesn't move, but not so tight that it crushes the heatsink against the support.

Disclaimer: this isn't a proper or professional mounting, but it's good enough for this Texas redneck. :flex dirty:

Or you could do something more solid like this. ;)

Wow, Robert... Way to make Brian look like he's some barnyard mechanic who's real name is Cletus and only wears denim overalls with no shirt

Hey, it doesn't bother me. I can over-engineer stuff, I choose to do it when it matters. I can tell you from having the same cooler on my Corvette for over 12 years that it doesn't matter how it's mounted as long as its not directly against the radiator/air conditioner condenser and it has airflow.

I didn't mean anything by my comment. I just used what came with my cooler.

I woulda just wrapped some floral wire or twine around the cooler to hold it in place Robert, I dunno why you're trying to get all crazy with those fancy mounting solutions!
