Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Water in (AIR)

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

Its not there to extend the life of the cat, just make it get up to operational temps quicker. If it runs continually, it would actually hurt the cat.

So would you tend to agree that deleting it won't affect the cat? Just dump a bit more polluting stuff at first while the cat heats?
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

That agrees with my understanding of the system.

That's why I'm ridding of it. Seems like a pointless piece of expensiveness, and is one more thing to go wrong. I like this truck more and more as I eliminate stuff

My system has been completely removed with an engine block-off plate for years. I haven't had any related issues. Dash light has been on but I just keep an eye on the codes.

As an amusing side note GM has been dealing with this silliness for as long as I've been playing with their vehicles, I was reminded of this TSB that tells you to remove the AIR system, GM admits "just kidding, you don't need that garbage"

and another one from poor air pump placement... imagine that...

Wink has a picture in his build thread of the delete plate thread he made

You can also buy it directly from GM since they said it wasn't needed for some years if I remember correctly... part number 12574378

I agree lol, bumper cover, Resonator, spare underneath, torque management. All deleted lol. As a matter of fact, other than PM, I haven't done anything to it but take stuff off it so far hahaha.
