Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Tools!

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

I just put in the Massive adjustable rear control arms and had to buy a 24mm wrench. Shocked me to be buying new tools after ten years with the Roadiemobile.

10, 12, 13, 15, 18, 22, 36 mm sockets will do just about everything you will need. Carry both 1/2 and 3/8 sizes as well as box wrenches. Breaker bar and ratchets for both sizes. Two good screwdrivers, good set of pliers, needle nose, channel locks and pipe wrench. 9 inch piece of steel bar / pry bar, pickle fork, 5lb sledge with short handle, tin snips (they have come in handy a few times for me for making in the field clearance adjustments. With those tools, and more importantly the spare parts, you should be able to solve most problems while in the field. That said, I fit in the same category as Mike above, I carry a pretty complete tool set with me. I joke all the time that I can do a complete motor swap with the tools in the back of my truck. The truth is that I not only can do a motor swap, but a transmission overhaul, any field repair, and harvest any part needed from a salvage yard. I have done all of the above out of the trunk of my truck!

I'll go back and edit the original post as more specifics get brought up, it'll make it easier for future reference. If we continue to post good stuff i'll merge em.
