Sorry, fiberglass is a no-go for me. WIth the cold up here it will shatter at some point. The only option is some kind of flexible polyurethane, like the ones I have from ATS. Bushwacker has their own terminology: "Exclusive Dura-Flex® 2000 TPO material"

Well that's definitley an idea, but the ones bushwhacker has are injection molded I believe which is not a small timer thing. Hopefully we can make a product that will work for you as well man!

definately is a huge project. Truck will be down for a while and cost atleast 10k before cage, shocks and all the other little stuff. it may be semi far out there, But it is a goal I have set and do believe is very possible.

I say you might not be able to cut out the rear fender area, but I suspect you'd be able to hammer up into the wheel well and the door jamb if you were willing to modify the rear door and relocate the hinges. Something to think about if you're serious about 10k into the car...

Me, I'm gonna try and find myself a defender 90 or something else to supplement my TB addiction.

As far as the polyurethane idea goes, try and talk to one of those aftermarket bumper designers, as some of them use polyurethane on their designs, and they aren't big-time by any means.

yeah you can pretty much do anything. That explorer pic I posted for example. They cut the sheetmetal from the window down, from the back door to the rear hatch. Inside its custom sheet metal tubs. In some cases they skin the door and attach that glass and in some some cases they make it so the rear doors are non functional and just throw on some Ranger bedsides. More than likely though, I will just do the front Mid Travel kit, re-do the rear so the axle is an inch or so back, shock hoop in the rear, painted to match glass up front, with bumpstops in the rear to keep the sheetmetal safe.

If you get get a set up like the LTZ or NorthFace flares done up for a good price, I'm in.

EDIT: I also like what Alek posted in the other flare thread... Similar set up as ours in rear, with part of the flare being on the door.

I don't need anything crazy wide, I don't ever plan on going wider then the set up I have now. I'm very happy with my 32's.

I like the look of those, something I could see on my truck. I suppose those could be done as a bolt on or stick on application, as I know not everyone wants to drill into their truck.

I have already cut 2.25 inches off the rear of my front fender opening. I would cut more, or cut all the way around with some fender flares available. I sit wide and I think 2 inches is enough. I can tray and see how far the tires stick out later, for reference. I think you need a strong lip, maybe metal, where the bolts will go through. You lose alot of structrual integrity when you cut your fender lip off and to keep them from warping a strong strip to bolt through is key, i think.

Well, If it is a bolt on application, it would have to be well reinforced, but also its definitely possible to make a stick on version.

This is an aggressive post. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate a post of this quality and depth.

You won't have to cut the fenders... the cut out style is made so that you can cut if you'd like to. Also we're talking about making them bolt in or stick on so they don't have to be perminent.
