Maybe west coast in your area Philberto.

You're really looking for more privileges aren't you?

Has anyone used Trailsource.com at all?

Absolutely essential trail guides in my collection are by Peter Massey and Jeanne Wilson, Charles A. Wells, Tony Huegel, and Roger Mitchell.

Great vendor:

And I collect way too many paper maps, such as every National Forest I can lay my hands on.

Actually, I wasn't brown-nosing :P I really haven't been planning these types of trips for a long time, so I like to rely on the people experienced in these sorts of things. Never heard about trailsource.com... it looks very interesting!

My #1 resorce is the local's of where ever I am traveling. I do carry around maps, as well as my laptop for GPS, but I have found that if you talk to the local's in whatever area you are in, 95% of the time you will get more than enough info about the area and what to watch out for.

Heck, in your area the locals are my #1 WORRY!

Agreed. They warn you away from their wimmin, and show you their (remaining) teeth.
