Got my strip LED installed today. I am very happy with the light output though. It's very bright. Now that I have them installed I though of a better option to get more light farther back behind the TB.

Got the new disconnect with awd sleeve regreased and rebuilt. Even installed new cv axles to go with the fresh disconnect. And of course during the removal of my old disconnect it snapped off inside my oil pan.....what a learning process today has turned into. Big thanks to Regulator for selling me his spare disconnect and thanks to this site for all the insight on how to rebuild the disconnect.

Finally replaced my passenger side mirror after having it taped up for a while, also changed all my dome lights and license plate lights over to leds. I will put pictures up later.

Hope you anti-seized every millimeter of that disconnect collar, make it easier the next time it has to come out. Definitely a PITA.

I definitely made sure to use anti-seize on the new dosconnect. After what I thought was gonna be a quick and simple swap I don't wanna have to relive yesterday.

Now, just imagine your diff being stuck to that degree... :wallbash:

Needless to say, the diff was destroyed during removal.

Funny you say that because more then likely tomorrow I'll be picking up my 4.10 diff and axle. I can only imagine the fight that will give me. I'm hoping it's not as bad as the disconnect.

Get as much penetrating lube in there as you can now and let it do its job.

We used Kroil, lots of it, to try to free the diff over a two day period. Finally we decided to take an air chisel to the collar and break it off. It wasn't going to come off without us breaking the oil pan, and we could see why. Not a single drop of oil had penetrated, that's how bad it was. One destroyed diff later, I'm sitting happy with 4.10s. I only wish I had bought one with 4.10s already in it, didn't realize how great they are for this platform. The 3.42s are absolute garbage in comparison, even on stock tires. May be okay for a 2WD, but meh.

Kyle, good to hear you got part of your madness sorted. Summit has some killer shipping now, usually next day shipping every time I get something from them.

That's remarkably accurate.

Heading out to the shop tonight to start on the rest of my tire gate. I have this weekend to finish it before TECORE, so wish us luck.
