What did you do to your GMT today?

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

Replaced tie rod ends(inner and outer),ball joints, upper and lower control arms, cvs, struts, and moog 14's. Rides stiff.

Not today, but recently switched out transfer cases. Mine started making a loud clicking noise which then became a popping at moderate acceleration while 4wd was engaged. Had no power at the front wheels either. I used the troubleshooting guide to determine that it was the transfer case. Then I went to the yard and jerked an HD case out of a TB EXT.

$150 and two hours later, I was back in 4wd.

I've sourced the parts, and while it's a bit cost prohibitive (since I can get t-cases for $150), I don't want to swap out t-cases every couple years, so I'm going to do a complete rebuild, clutches and all, as I get the cash to buy parts. Judging by what I've found, I should be able to do an entire rebuild myself for around $500.

I'm not real sure, I don't think the one I pulled out said it but I could be wrong. I couldn't really find anything online differentiating except for when the names changed (new process, new venture gear).

This one works, the other one didn't. Lol

I actually found a TB in the local recycler's yard that had all of the rubber cup holder liners!I bought those, and the driver side door handle bezel, with all of its mounting tabs intact, for the grand sum of $5. Of course the part I had gone looking for was the rear liftgate glass, and that was gone from the only EXT model in the place.

I'm not sure they are all the same Kyle, when I went to the junk yard to find one I couldn't get any one with the same numbers on it, some were 226, gm266, 226g, it had me confused I ended up leaving with nothing because I thought I needed a gm nvg226.

Removed my resonator since it was recently damaged by "road debris".

Also completely destroyed a CV joint on a half shaft. Limped it home, I guess I'll replace it tomorrow. Which brings me to my next point, it's a good idea to check your boots for damage regularly. :lol:
