Small mod

So I installed the front plate carrier (courtesy of HARDTRAILZ) today. I mounted it a little higher than the divets in the plastic already were because I wanted the bottom to be relatively flush with the plastic on the bumper cover. It took about 15 minutes start to finish. I only used two clips for now because I didn't want to drill into the painted plastic. I hope it stays on though. The tag on the front is the common name for where I just graduated college. It is a thick heavy pewter one and I hope it isn't too much for the bracket and clips; it barely fits.

Dang! It's bad enough that I'm unemployed and can't afford to lift yet, but y'all don't have to rag on me. I still go play out in the woods even with my miniscule ground clearance.

No it didn't and I bought it used. Original owner lived in Michigan; not exactly sure how it ended up here in Mississippi.

Actually it toughens you up so you'll be more prepared for the Jeepers to point and laugh when you're out there among them. When I planned the great Rubicon trip, Teebes and I snuck in midweek, after Labor Day, going backwards from the normal flow, to minimize the number of uber-worthy vehicles we'd meet. Worked out perfectly. We were only seen by two.

Now just imagine if Roadie and Teebes are out there hiding from ridicule how important it is for them to protect you and toughen you up. Even if it sometimes feels like retribution.

We were also trying to minimize the reputational damage for the platform in case we broke down, clogged the trail, and had thousands of pictures taken of us that would have been plastered all over pirate4X4.com.

I'll be able to wheel with the best of Offroadtb.com just as soon as I can find a job to support my big mods. I do little things like this currently because it gives me something to do while unemployed and I get a proud sense of accomplishment for doing it myself. Other than that I read threads on here and daydream of thinks to come.

cbbryan, I do believe you. Take the time you have now to ponder and imagine your finished truck. You'll get great satisfaction from the planning rather than just doing the mods willy-nilly.

Roadie, pirate4X4.com is for the extreme. Those who are on it, who are not, don't belong.
If you broke on the Rubicon and they laughed and took pictures then you shouldn't have been there anyway. Did you break or did you drive around what you knew your vehicle was incapable of doing? I believe you and Teebes know the edge of the limitations.

I know that I'm glad there is actually a place like this site were guys like me a cbbryan can ask questions and plan, and work on our rigs without getting laughed at... I am glad we have people here that love thier TB's as much as I do...the help is appreciated, it seems that the trailblazer community for offroading will only get bigger as people realize how great these vehicles are.

In other news, I put a Doxie rescue (DRNA) sticker on the wife's TB last week... I didn't know we could post shit like this...

I also Rain-X'd the windows last week... and put an ARFCOM Bolt Face Logo (BFL) on the rear hatch... I also put new windshield wipers on it, a couple weeks ago...
