Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Reducing weight while increasing cargo space?

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

Just a thought...

What about adding some sound deadening or insulation back there before you re-install?

That is a thought... and I am going to do something. I am replacing the pad, as it got pretty nasty with the spilled food. I will be adding a little more insulation while I'm at it.

As requested... here are some detailed pics of the gutted rear seat/cargo area.

Just curious, is that a ClairScope you're using with the f402b cable attachment for a cell phone?

Look into Dynamat. Good Stuff. Also look into the spray insulation they use in car stereo installations. Might work better for the nooks and crannies.

Yeah, I know all about Dynamat. Its kind of expensive for my needs. I don't need crazy sound deadening, but I wouldn't mind a little. I don't have a crazy sounds system anymore... with panels rattling and such. So some cheaper insulation will be fine for me.

Hey, any chance you could get me a closeup of the seat belt pillars in the rear? I see holes in them and think I may have an idea...
