I think I would try to keep the side panels, but it does look like more room with the carpet and seat out.
Maybe some herculiner on the floor and try to hide or move some of the wiring.

I see a lot more cubby holes than they cut out of the plastic for us!!! I love nooks! and crannies!!! Time to rip out the carpet and panels and hopefully put them back before my girlfriend sees it!

Oh, and if you are looking at permanently removing the rear seats, then I'd suggest taking out that vent in the rear and turning it into a drink chiller... just put a door on it , seal it, and put a grating to keep stuff from going down the vent... then close the door and crank the AC!

This isn't a permanent thing... this is the result of spilling food in the cargo area.
A little shrimp in garlic sauce spilled back there, and the sauce got into an area that is a nightmare to reach by hand but a piece of cake for liquid.
If you look at the pic I posted earlier, you will see the little slits and holes running parallel to the rear weather strip... well, those holes drain out to an area that does not have natural drainage... There are 2 drain holes, one on either side of the truck, behind the rear bumper cover... but it will only drain if you remove the plugs. The fluid sat in this crevice... stinking up the entire truck. I only managed to drain it today, cause I didn't know about this stupid area... WTF!!!

just my $0.02, i like the rubbered floor idea, but for max cargo, leave the seats out and try to angle the sides to cut out the wheel well edges, just what id do if i did that

I took out the rear seats so that I could remove the carpet, to clean up the spilled food...

I got a cargo liner in mine so I don't get the carpet all effed up since I use my TB for work and always have rock/sand samples that can spill..
But back to the topic.. you get that food smell out from where it was hiding?
