Boatsides anyone

So has anyone attempted boat sides?
I was thinking it would work ok with the 3 body lift.

What exactly do you mean by "boat sides"? Pontoons? Fiberglass sliders? Boats welded to the side of the truck? Please elaborate.

I may be referring to it by a nick name but they are basically sliders that are built similar to a boat hull.

It's mainly a jeep thing. They have to step over the door sill to enter so it's not a big deal for them where as ours is pretty flat, so you'd be creating a step over to do it, not to mention our doors are flush with the sill and theirs are raised per say.

Its mostly a unibody thing so you can strengthen the vehicle. I personally would not want to tie my body to the frame with only boatsides.

I agree that these are pretty much a jeep thing... doesn't mean you can't make them for your rig!

I've considered the idea of closing in sliders before, but I think it would catch a TON of mud and crap and just rust faster. Mine are already rusting pretty darn good.
