Well it wasn't my nice bumper that was on the tb, it was one that i bought from Bobbyblaze when he sold his tb. I simply primed and painted with a close duplicolor 5 or 6 coats with 4or 5 coats of clear, still have to 800 grit wet sand it to give it that shine.

Haha anyways this bumper will start to get alot more cut up once the skid plate and other new front end accessories com into play... for a scrap bumper that i don't have to worry about ruining, its worth the couple bucks. (of course its a cheap replacement bumper that doesn't fit quite right, but its close enough)

Mike's radiator skid means no bumper cutting for stock or 3 inch body....
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

I like mikes quite a bit, but it might be modded... Not even sure how my idea will work, so i'm holding off on the cutting for now.

The thread was cleaned per the OP's request.

Tom, I thought about doing that once... looks pretty good, but if I were you, I'd cut the ends of the bumper a little higher... right now it's tapering down and doesn't really look right... maybe if it tapered upwards it may look better AND give more clearance.

Probably with the right equipment and expertise, this can be done

You can try to cut the grey plastic in the center at the same height you cut the sides

Cutting the grey part along the same line would give it teeth... wouldn't look right.

I agree. I cut mine and stopped where you did Foosh. Not perfect but looks better than having the teeth. And I must say it's utilitarian.

I've considered doing this mod as well. Maybe if I come across a cheap bumper skin, I'll give it a shot...

There is a skin listed on the OS, but seller is in IN. Too far for me...

Why hesitate? But also, why would you do it? Is it the looks you like or the fact you can attemped a tougher trail or shoping cart? :poke:

I like the way Foosh and mine and others have turned out.

Here is a better pick of mine.

HA... not for looks...

I say "considered" as I've yet to have issues with clearance, even during TECORE and everything we ran into there. I even still have the OEM wind deflector under the bumper. Picking the right line has helped...

I'm on this bandwagon too, although, I still need to clean up my cut a little!

Mario, if you've never hit your front bumper you haven't wheeled enough or hard enough, i got this one to tear up because i was afraid of riping the other one off, which has been a close call a buncha times. These bumpers are really bad in mud if your backing up they just grab it all, i'm hoping this will help with some more cutting.

Its this big thing that typically matches the trucks color that without it makes the truck look incomplete... haha just busting your balls. :awesome:

Goodness... this thread has turned into a nuclear arms race... everyone's talking about how big their proverbial dick is but no one is "getting lucky".
