Problem is you're not going to fit these inside 17 inch rims, 18 inch, yes with proper back spacing.

Y'all keep saying EXT/SS brakes and i'm assuming thats including a bigger rotor? If thats the case, i guess my 8.6" ext rear end was strange. it had the same size rotors as my 8". I just swapped my old ones over to the new axle.

That sounds right. The rears are in fact the same on EXT and SWB models across all submodels. The fronts are the ones that are different.
All SWB with a 4.2 I6 have the smaller front brakes.
All EXT have the bigger brakes.
All 2006+ SWB with the 5.3V8 have the bigger brakes.

Dave is right, like I stated in this article, the fronts are whats bigger. The rears are all the same. It is in fact a caliper-bracket, pad, rotor upgrade.

Dave is right, like I stated in this article, the fronts are whats bigger. The rears are all the same. It is in fact a caliper-bracket, pad, rotor upgrade.
And really you can use the same pads if you'd wish to.

You might get away with that with worn pads. New pads in those calipers... I"ll have to see 16" wheels wrapped around them to believe it. haha. I only have about 0.25" clearence with my 17"

That looks good. Maybe you could go that route. I wonder if the steel SS calipers are larger than the EXT calipers. I tried some 16" wheels and wasn't even close. Perhaps I didn't put in the effort to try all angles. I just went 17" wheels, solved all my problems. lol

Yea it's to late for 17s I think SS are slightly larger ill just probably end up going with EXT if it works

I just know AJ had to grind the crap out of his calipers to run 15's on his 2005 LT. I know cause I did it. haha It was mostly his rear now that I think about it. Give her hell!

Mike....your 1st post is right....be wary of Ebay.
SS front rotors wont fit EXT... something doesn't add up.
Searched for 06 SS and then cross checked with 06 ext v8.
Those should be same front rotors correct?

Autozone and O'Reilly's shows different numbers too, so I just made sure to order the same year and trim I pulled it off. Didn't you get an invoice for the brackets I sent you? just make sure to order the brakes for that model.

I believe SS and Ext should be same rotors.
Looking more for confirmation than knowing what to order.
Did find my pads are lifetime guarantee so only need rotors and I am good to go.

oh I know that I was just showing the difference. and I know yours came off an 03 Envoy for sure. So I was just saying through the vendor on ebay you are ordering just make sure they list them for an 03 Envoy ext. I don't want you to end up with the wrong rotors
