Impact Bar Rust Repair

I decided to take the rear bumper cover off about the last week in April. To my suprise the Impact bar was rusty so I decided to repair it. I went to Ace Hardware and picked up Wire Brush Drill Attachment, Ospho(Turn rust into Iron Phosphate and stops it), And Krylon Dual Paint and Primer.
I eneded up working majority of the week that I started this and on top of that the weather went to crap so I never got a chance to fisnish till 5/5/12

Here is what it looked like after the cover was off:

Did you pull it off and do that to the back as well? Ill bet its just as bad.

Looks typical of the dozen trucks i have pulled the bumper off.

Kinda a waste if you didnt pull off and do inside and the frame..

I doubt he removed it and did the back cause I would have hit all that rust you see behind it too while I had it off.

No I didn't take it off. But yes it is still something I need and want to get done. Only reason why is I have no clue how to get the sapre tire down..... Sad I know. Once I figure it out I'll get to it.

Yes it looks good, much better than the bumper cover that has a really nice deformation(from backing into a car).
