Nothing fancy, but gives me a little more versatility and keeps things out of sight.

a 2x6, 3/4" plywood, a piece of carpeting and about 30 minutes of my time.

Nice and simple as you said. Just don't store your emergency jumper box under there, for reasons a couple of us can testify to.

I like it! I could maybe use one the same, just alittle bit taller so I could some what open that little lid enough to pull something out.
