I have wanted to do this for a while, and finally remembered to pick up the parts while I was at Lowes. Since the MAXXlinks are only rated for stock-2" of lift, I thought the 3.5" from Marks spacer and the Z71 springs created the need for a little modification. Assuming that you already have SMAXX links, this can be done in 1/2 hour and is very easy on the wallet.

Needed:
(2)3/4"x4" galvanized plumbing nipples
3/4" wrench
9/16" wrench

I started by removing the end links one at a time with the 3/4" wrench. Here's what it looks like after a year on the truck:

Using the 9/16" wrench, I removed the bottom nut and disassembled the bottom half of end links. The inside washers have to be inverted, otherwise the assembly is too long to use the original bolt. So I inverted the top inside washer, replaced the original sleeve with this:

I inverted the bottom inside washer, reinstalled everything else just as it came off, and loosely attached the bottom nut:

Reinstalled on the truck and they are good to go. Overall, I gained @1" inch of length, and they are slightly more rigid because of the nipple I used.
Back on the truck:

Nice!! Now does this tuck your swaybar tighter to your rear diff? Yea right? Nice cheap easy mod. I wonder if you could basically just build a set like that from scratch?

Good work Bob!

I've looked around some, the problem is finding the top and bottom mounts, everything else is easy to find.

It does look like Smaxx needs to up their specs on their parts... that's a lot of rust for one year. Very surprising on the washers - I'd have figured they'd at least be zinc plated.

I'm definitely not a fan of that much rust. As it stands, I'm probably just going to replace all of that with galvanized. The sway bar is no closer to the pumpkin, but the links are nowhere near as close to their flex extension as they were at resting height before.

Get 304 stainless hardware.

Still though, gotta find some sorta replacement for the attachment "cups" (for lack of a better word).

I do wish someone made a decent product for us.

Nice job on making a go of it yourself.

Thanks, man. One positive thing is, with the half decent base product SMAXX makes, we can at least buy the hardware to customize them to whatever length we see fit.

He promised alot and then did not deliver. I told him what they needed to fit right and he kept telling me the parts were coming. Never showed. I snapped a third bold at Tecore and took them all off after that. Have not heard from him since the last time I asked about the parts to make them fit right. Bushings would push out, they did not fully line up. I tried to explain what was needed and he seemed to grasp what I was thinking and would tell me the parts were coming, but the last thing I got were some 3/8's hood pins and they didnt fix them.

I did not have that much invested so I tossed them in a drawer and chaulked it up to experience.
