clunk when shifting from neutral

Something not working right?

Hey guys,
I have a 07 TB LT with 150k miles on it.
Lately i noticed that my transmission makes a noticeable clunk (only one) when shifting from neutral to drive, reverse or park. sometimes it does the same clunk sound when starting the car - right after the car starts (again - only one clunk). What's weird is that it happens sometimes, and sometimes does not, and it's not related to ambient or TB temperature - so i ruled out engine/transmission mounts (plus my mechanic said they are fine).
I changed the oil and filter to the original AC Delco Dexron 6 about 3000 miles ago. Oil level is right where it should be.

Should I be worried ? i couldn't find any related topics regarding this issue.
Any ideas ?

Thanks,
Stas.

Sounds like it's just slop in the driveline being taken up as the transmission tensions up everything.

It also could be U-joints starting to go bad and introducing extra slop but there should be other symptoms if they were that worn.

I've got the same exact thing with mine, it's just wear and tear on the driveline components and sloppiness tightening up when you engage it.

Shouldn't be. Now if the clanking continues while you dive, that might be something to consider checking out lol
