Engine/trans ticking

Something not working right?

by tbangert » Tue Nov 10, 2015 8:35 pm

So I've developed a ticking sound tonight that I'm certain is coming from the trans. It developed when I slapped the gas to the floor. Revs started climbing, hit about 3k and hesitated and again started climbing until 5k and hesitated again then up to redline.
After this weirdness, it started clicking. Idle, park, up through the revs. It's quite prominent from under the rig.
I'm about at my ends with this thing, I'm tired of dumping money in it.

I don't see it being the transmisson if it does it in idle and park. To me that sounds more like an engine problem. I'm no mechanic though so I may be wrong...

ALSO. Do you have a 3in markmc lift and a 2" zone body lift? I checked out your build thread and saw that you had the 2" zone body lift and never specified what kind of lift the markmc lift was. I just want to know what the two lifts look like together.
