Read the link I posted. But to fix your tcc flutter, it replaces the iso-con valve with a design that gets rid of the pwm functionality. It lowers temps in the trans and improves efficiency.

Your other option is a remanufactured valve body.

It's a little valve in the transmission, not a big deal to change just a good bit of labor. James and I have both wrote it up. It would probably make sense to just toss in a shift kit.

Iso-con stands for isolator/converter. Its the valve that controls pressure to the torque converter clutch.

Pwm is a pulse-width-modulation pressure control of said clutch, via the valve. The replacement valve in the shift kit gets rid of the pwm functionality, and essentially turns it into an on-off switch. Full clutch pressure, or no pressure.

So I did remember to test it in 3 and yes indeed it fluttered. How much of a pain is that shift kit. Its decently cheap. I'm just not a mechanic. I can fab and do the easy stuff. But I'm not one to dig int a trans or motor.

Plan for a whole day of work. Have a contingency plan of how to get to work if things go wrong.

Worst case, you screw it up, a remanufactured valve body on ebay is like $150 if I recall.

I guess it depends on how early you start. I did mine in a Saturday and finished in time for dinner. However, I didn't mess with the servo at the time.

The servo is a bit of a pain with the body lift,I would imagine it becomes difficult without a body lift. That snap ring is a real pain.

I'm curious, does anybody out there make/sell reman valve bodies with shift kits installed during the re-manufacture process?

I know Jason has been screwing with cars/trucks with the R4/60E for years. I figure he might know.
