Well I used my gopro today to try and get a video of the vibration but I don't really see anything in my video or I'm just not looking for the right thing.
The time to look for the vibration/wobble would be at 1:35 and 4:20 when I accelerate and feel it in the truck.

Ok I'll check that. That almost seems like that, but would that only cause vibration in 4WD? Just curious

Need something to keep me busy while I wait for my header lol

Bad U-joints like to get pissy when there is force applied to them.

Have you checked the U-joint on your front drive shaft like fishsticks recommended me to do?
I ask because I am almost positive it is not our CV's since I'v had the issue with a couple pairs and when I re-greased my disconnect everything looked great in there. But I guess you gotta start somewhere!

On my dad's 99 Silverado, It had a vibration in 4x4 and after a while a clunking while rolling in 2hi. It was U-Joints on the front drive shaft.

I have this 4wd vibration problem as well. I had a very bad passenger side motor mount that I replaced last fall and the 4wd vibration problem disappeared for nearly 2 months. At the same time the 4wd vibration came back, my bad motor mount noise reappeared. Turns out the heat shield for my passenger side motor mount rotted off and heat from the exhaust already wrecked my new motor mount. I plan on replacing all motor mounts (including a new heat shield) in the spring to see if the 4wd problem goes away again. At that time I will check into the u joints and splined disconnect again too.

Lee, have you tried removing the cv shafts one at a time and driving around, to see if you can identify the problem side?

If you still have the vibration try removing both shafts and driving. If you still have the vibration at that point in 2WD, then you'll know it's in one of the wheels or wheel bearings.

Since it'll be temporary and for a very short distance, I would think this would work.

I think you have to do it in 4wd else you aren't recreating the environment where you saw the vibrations before.

Do both and record the vibrations you feel in 6 different modes. Report back, and it should hopefully shed some light on things.
1 - pass removed, 2wd
2 - pass removed, 4wd
3 - driver removed, 2wd
4 - driver removed, 4wd
5 - both removed, 2wd
6 - both removed, 4wd

Additionally, are you still getting a blinking 4wd light? That could be relevant.

Reading back through the thread, I'm not sure you'll gain much from doing what I suggested above. Seems most avenues have been discussed.

I did see an unanswered question asking you to describe the vibrations... are they in the steering wheel, or in the chassis?

I'd just remove both the left and right CVs, and then throw it into 4WD and drive it. That will at least eliminate or incriminate the CVs.

If you still have vibrations, then remove the front prop shaft and drive in 4WD, that will then help you determine if its in the transfer case or in the diff.

At least, reading through - that's what I'd try to do now.
