Is "made in japan" a trail rank? That would be suitable for Donny...

Offroad Rated: Lifted truck and posted proof of at least 3 off highway trips, one of which should be considered non-stock passable.

I text Wink and told him to check this out, he definitely is out of place in the mall crawler build. I can vouch for at least 3 Badland trips that he has done with the midwest crew.

Moots1288 should get bumped from mall rated to trail ready. He did make TECORE 7 and my thanksgiving trip.

I guess I qualify for Trail Ready. I've only technically guided 1 trip.

Thanks Travis, and yes, as long as you were there, and the report was posted, you're good. That's why it's good to start a trip report with a list of who attended, if there were others.

You're a bit of an anomaly. You don't have a lift, right?

Correct. No lift, but I have guided a trip and have plenty of passive, dynamic, and static recovery experience.

So I'm kinda in a grey area between ranks.

does turning up your torsion bars count?
I know a lot of the Z71 crowd can turn up their torsion bars and run 33's and we have to have 4 inches of lift, cut and re-gear just to get to 33s.

I can stuff 285's with a little trimming. They're 32.6 or something like that. I'm actually going to look at a set tomorrow.

I don't really want to crank my T-bars. But you're right, I don't need much at all to run a real 33.

Z71 is just decals, plastic skids, n shocks. No real difference. They also need to re*gear as much as we do since most start w 50-100 less HP even though a 33 is not as big a jump in tire size for them.

I turned the bars on several trucks. Ride goes to hell pretty quick n you need aligned. Better off w a body lift to clear tires.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

Rory runs 285/75/R16 with 3.73's and a trans cooler.

I will be running the same set-up.

And if you look over at the full size forums, tons of guys run 285/75 on these trucks no problem.

I mean 4.11 gears would still be nice, but not necessary.
