I recently did an axle swap and I want to get rid of my stock axle. It has a detroit locker along with 4.56 gears. It's complete from caliper to caliper, I tossed the rotors, they were fairly worn. Any questions just ask.

Price for control arms? Might be a while before I can buy (meaning 4-5 weeks), but I'm interested.

Pretty sure it will but any time you swap something that was not stock on your vehicle you may have to fabricate stuff to make it fit. I'm sure there are threads on here about swapping in an 8.6" axle.

Chris, you will lose ABS and stabilitrac if you move to an 02 axle. You'll also likely have an ABS light and possibly a code.

Just curious, what are the major differences that would cause those issues?

the 02s don't have stabilitrac or ABS. I think that started in 04.

Not sure what stabilitrac is but I have ABS. Why would swapping an axle negate those two features?

either there is nothing to connect to or the two interfaces are different.

Losing ABS would suck but losing stabilitrac would be a good thing off pavement.

As AlekG found out in his axle awap, the newer axles have wheel speed sensors on each wheel, like the front hubs. That's the difference for Stabilitrak. For the 2002-2004 with ABS only and no Stabilitrak, the rear wheel speed is inferred by a single sensor on the tailpiece of the transfer case.
