I am missing the oil drain plug access plate in the front skid plate. I need it and the 2 bolts that hold it on. Was hoping someone who upgraded skid plates may have 1 laying around they would be willing to sell or something. Shipping would be to 30736. Thanks in advance.

I'll look in the garage as well, since I'm a bit of a packrat. But I gotta ask why not aspire to upgrade to the Mike Barton aluminum or steel skid plate? The factory plate is capable of deflecting small pebbles that might get thrown up at your oil pan by the occasional annoyed chipmunk. But it's not a "SKID" plate in any offroading sense of the term. :drive: Even the factory calls it a "shield".

I plan on it along with the Bumper in the future. But right now all funds tied up in getting rest of lift at the moment. Been a slow process with some unexpected things coming up for our boys. But the steel skip plate will more then likely be the next upgrade. Just want that access panel in there to help protect the oil drain plug some.

Your homework assignment is to go to the Build Thread forum, and start reading with a note pad nearby to write down all the stuff you might want to mod your own truck with. Could take hours.

Yeah, I'm actually going to refrain from taking the TB and turning it into a super 4x4.

I'm working on getting one of these.

That's cool and all... but you won't be wheeling that thing much. Way too big for most trails.

Actually you'd be surprised. I also belong to a Military vehicle Collectors Club and we take them out wheelin' all the time.

Surprisingly agile on the some of the tightest and toughest terrain.

No only that, but nothing like getting in a tight situation and having the lockers kick in and crawl out of, or up and over whatever you up against.

I wouldn't doubt it out west, but I won't hardly even take my full-size wheeling, because there aren't a whole lot of real trails that will fit anything wider than the TB or a Jeep around here...

Where are you going? The full sizes I run with have trouble fitting some of the trails at TSF. No way a 5 ton is fitting. The new Hoodoo trail is too narrow for you too... as are the Yacolt Burn trails when they finally open. I haven't actually seen the La Dee Flats trail system that's being marked now but there are trees there too.

Not trying to detract, but are you just planning on playing at mud holes in the offroad parks?

BTW, I've heard a rumor that you can put lockers in a TrailBlazer too. ;)

Just driving them alone is ridiculous. Anything you drive that you need to be able to bench press 300lbs just to turn the dumpster size steering wheel I'll leave well enough alone.
