Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

DJones truck is now a bit higher

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

DJones will have to post up before pictures because I didn't think about getting the camera out until after I had the front finished. I had a bit of a confusing moment reassembling the strut assembly, but after talking it through with Hardtrailz I got it together without any further hick ups. It took about 5 hours, including an hour of wasted time before I got the assembly figured out. Not to bad for a cripple working with a cast on my foot and leg.

On to the pictures.

The front is finished.

Markmc's block! Thanks Mark for a great product.

Now, on to the rear.

Yes, I am using a jack to push the rea axle down enough to get the rear block in place.

notice the cast!

The finished product.

Nicely done. Good to see you helping out someone even in your condition.

Hmmm. What to do now? Roof lightbar? Mudflaps? Possibilities are nearly limitless.

Very cool. Now you're up to minimum fish & game standards and are in less danger of being thrown back to the OS. :excited:

Is that the rear brake line that's looking really tight there?... be careful not to pull it.

Shit...That reminds me I popped my lines out of the frame so I wouldn't pull them and I forgot to pop the one side back in. I guess I got a project for lunch break.

Funny enough running boards maybe a hinderance for going through alot of stuff, but once they actually displaced my weight and prevented me from sinking further in a bad mud pit...

If you're in mud pits like that you need THESE instead of running boards:

Don't worry. The running boards will be coming off as soon as I get mudflaps. After reading that the front tires throw debris onto the back door, I decided I don't want chips in the paint. My grandma will be so unhappy. But then again I could be bored someday and remove them anyway. One thing at a time too, so I can enjoy each upgrade individually.

I decided to remove the running boards anyway and I'm happy with how it looks. Looks like I added 2 more inches. Now the frame is visible from lower angles and looks bad. I think I'll have to paint under there...
