Keep shearing upper balljoints

I put a Liftmeister 3/2 lift kit on the wife's '02 Trailblazer about 3 years ago and since then I've had 2 passenger upper BJ's break. It almost seems like the UCA tapper isn't securing the BJ correctly and allowing it to push up and put all of the force on the relief/detent of the BJ. I've researched guys drilling aftermarket UCA's to 7/16 (can you drill the stock UCA's?) and I've also researched the UCA flip. Is this common at all? This is literally a grocery getter, but for some reason the same issue keeps repeating itself.

seems like there's a lot of back and forth with alignment issues? I say a lot given the sticky thread appears to have started many moons ago and it looks like guys are still trying to figure it out lol

There some of that yes, but for the ball joints it helps a ton

No back and forth. It is advised to flip them with any lift. Some will try to re-invent the wheel but ask any of use that have been around and we all did it and no one ever flips back. I do not know of any downside to it.

Flip em', I never had any issues with alignment, made the ball joints last a lot longer though.
