MPG help!!!!

To start this, yes I have used the search bar.

I am currently sitting in the 12-13 range on a 2 inch kit with 31.65s and 3:42s.
I do plan on replacing what I believe to be the original fuel filter (my dad neglected a lot of stuff on it) but what else can I do? I see reports of 15-16+ similar setups.

-Do you have a tune? If not that should help pick up around one.
-Give your throttle body a good cleaning if you haven't yet.
-Check tire psi
-Less force on your right foot

I was right around 18 with 50/50 city/highway with my 2" and 31.7" tires. Have yet to see what the new lift, bigger tires, roof rack and tent have done to my mpgs.

I don’t have a tune

I have cleaned the Tb

I never go faster than 65 and I let the speed rise and fall with hills.

I rarely get the revs up higher than 3.5k and right around 3k

I don’t know what’s wrong. I know my lack of bumper cover isn’t helping but still that is seriously low.

It's low but not uncommon especially with a lift and bigger tires. I remember when I was more active on GMTNation some were getting those numbers on stock rigs. It's been a while since I've been on GMTNation so I can't remember what they did to help.

Yeah, I saw a 7 mpg decrease as I was getting 20 at times. A 7 mpg decrease with those tires seems huge.

Well one thing that you have to factor is correction, since you probably don't figure things for the oversized tires. How many miles are on the vehicle? Have you checked the plugs?
