Struts and shocks

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

Ok so I bought a 3" suspension lift kit from (just lift kits).
So I have been researching struts and shocks.
I am thinking of going with rancho all the way around.
Here are the part #s
Strut rsx17512
Shock rs5114
Will this combo be good, or dose anyone have any better ideas?

All of the "better ideas" are in the stickies just above this post, lots to read there.

I've never heard of them "Just Lift Kits". What design was it? If you payed under $100 retail, it's probably the garbage outside the strut spacers. If that's the case DO NOT USE IT!! But I'm sure you did a good amount of research before you bought it, so I'm not worried.

Shocks will be personal preference. A lot of people on here use Bilstein HDs in the front as they are tried and true. I'm not sure who, if anyone, has used front Rancho shocks. The rancho rear shocks are fairly common, though. Ensure the length will be within specs on the rear shocks to compensate for the new ride height. (assuming of course, your lift kit came with rear spacers, too)

the lift kit was $200 the front is spacers on top of strut and the rear are spring blocks on top

right. I'm just making sure the front lift goes inside the strut assy. Meaning you have to compress the spring to install.

I've had bilstiens and ranchos. Either work well. Although I think that bilstiens are much easier to work with as you need an Allen wrench for the threaded shaft. With the ranchos it's some sort of not really flat spots where no wrench I could find would fit. James and I ended up using vice grips..

if your "kit" is outside the strut like below do not use and return because you damage your front end because of this much cv binding . left inside the strut, right outside strut. thread below about ready lifts version.
