Bilsteins vs Monroe struts

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

Ok so I really need to replace my front struts. My original plan was to use the Bilstein but as most of you know, they're on friggin backorder. So what are the benefits or downfalls of each? Keep in mind that Im not lifted yet but I will be soon (3 in front). I'm so confused. Idk if I should wait it out for the Bilsteins or just go for the Monroe now.

Well that's not good. I sure don't want to have to replace them after just 1k

Rancho and Monroe are made by the same company.

As I posted in the other thread, the Monroe Sensatracks and Bilstein yellow bodies appear to be the only monotube struts for our platform. As far as valving or anything, I can't imagine they are all that different, only so many ways to skin a cat.

The quickstruts and all other brands are twin tubes. Which are OEM, but not as firm or controlled, not designed with aggressive offroading in mind, lots of spring cycles per second and that kind of thing like a monotube.

That said, there's plenty of fools out there with Z71's on 35's and blown out twin tubes having a great time.
