Ok so my plan for part of my lift is the Skyjacker C25R's. I know it will give me 4 in of lift back there, and that I need longer shocks designed for the lifted tahoes. BDS has 2 different shocks listed for the Tahoes, (55719) 0-3 inches and (55759) 6 inches of lift. I am assuming that either will work because they both have longer extended lenghts. Im leaning towards the longer ones beacuse with 4 inches of lift the extra 3 inches of shock length shouldnt hurt (correct me if im wrong).
I really need to replace my current shocks now, they are bad, however, I cant lift the truck until May (family coming to visit and still need the 3rd row). The 55759 have a collapsed length of 17.59" where as the stocks have 15.42". So my question is, will the extra 2" of COLLAPSED length hurt me or the shock if they run with stock rear springs? And will they even be able to be installed or will the overall length not fit without the lift?
