looking for advice on front shocks and springs

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

what shock/spring combo will get me close to the height of rear Z71 springs and Skyjacker N8030 shocks and Markmc 2" lift spacer? after searching i can't really find the best answer without spending $1000+ on the radflo's...and does anyone know exactly how much lift the rear Z71 springs and and Skyjackers will give you?

It depends on a lot of factors. Even with the exact same combo yours might sit a bit different from someone else.

Can't use z71s on the front, no idea on skyjackers for the front... most go with the bilstein hd.

Jeff, you'll find the vast majority of these questions are answered in the stickies in the forum. A good number of any other questions can be answered with a quick search or even a reply in an old topic. Generally speaking, we try not to rehash the stuff in the stickies in new threads.

You'll find the part numbers for the bilstein in the sticky Robert posted and an explanation that the 88 springs are the last two numbers of the gm part number for that particular spring. You'll find references that the 87 and 88 springs were out of production, last I heard GM had replenished the stock and they should be available.

Skyjacker N8030 give exactly ZERO lift.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

I will vouch that the 88's are available, it took GM parts direct about two weeks to get them but are still out there. I ordered mine back in November I believe.

You should do it the other way around. Get a LM 3" spacer + '88 spring + Bilst shock up front. Then match the back to level. Equal springs on back will probably give .25" forward rake when using 2" LM rear spacer. Could shave some off spacer or go to softer spring in back to level.
