Skyjacker n8030

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

I have a 2005 trailblazer that I just installed marks 3" front and 2.5" rear lift. In the front I installed bilstein hd's and in the rear I left stock but am about to order skyjacker n8030's. But when I look at skyjacker's website it says they won't fit. It say they are for 2006 and up. Is that true?? Or will they fit my 2005?

They will fit you'll just have to shim it with 7/16" grade 8 washers. I used 20 total, 5 on eatch side of the shocks bushing. Check my build.

It may say 2006 and up but it will fit. Out of the box they don't fit any of our rigs, we all have to put washers or spacers in there.

Good advice given.

The fox/bds shocks are the only ones I'm aware of that have adapters specifically for us. I'd encourage you to go that route. This coming from a guy that has each in an envoy and a trailblazer

Thanks for the help guy. I got them installed and used 5 7/16" washers on both sides.

I'm having a hard time finding 7/16 grade 8 washers. Do they have to be grade 8, or are grade 5 ok?

Really?!?! I had no problem finding them. I don't see why they wouldn't work.

They are only being used as spacers so they can just be regular fender washers.

Just gonna post this here for posterity sakes:

When we installed the skyjackers this morning, we didn't use any washers at all. My buddy cut the spacers off the old stock shocks and used the tabs as spacers for the skyjackers. Fit like a glove. A different way to get to the same place.

we cut off the two tabs from the stock shock that come away from the bottom eye (shown at the top of the picture). They are used to fill the gap in the shock bracket on the stock set-up. We cut them off and used them to fill the gap between the Skyjackers and the shock bracket instead of stacking washers.
