That is my understanding. I'm expecting someone who uses washers to come along and mention how they did it. I melted the rubber bushings out of my stock shocks. Then slid the steel bushings into the new shocks. I'm thinking washers would be a better idea. lol I'm 18 months strong with no issues. As others have reported, the rust proofing on the shocks leaves room for improvement. There are other shocks that look better for longer, but the performance of the Skyjacker seems to satisfy everyone.
