And on prime if you have it, which makes it even a bigger saving. IIRC both inter and outer are much cheaper at the moment on amazon.

Not to dig up an old thread, but I wanted to clarify something. Is the reason for reaming the sleeve due to the non-threaded part of the Moog inner tie rod being thicker in diameter? If that is the case, then if someone has the ACDelco version of the inner TR than no mod to the sleeve would be necessary?

I've heard the sleeves are too big for some of the cheap china ones too. They are intended for AC Delco inner TREs.

Did you buy 2500HD or just 2500 TREs?

The main cross brand differences I've heard of have been diameter of the inner TRE. As far as I knew, the thread diameter had been fairly consistent so I'm looking for what other circumstance could he fall into.

I would have thought them to all use the same thread as stock. If they didn't you couldn't replace only an inner or an outer. Could you post a pic showing the issue?

Ok. My current guess is an assembly issue or the sleeve needs to be drilled. The sleeve only replaces the Jam Nut that comes on the inner TRE.
