I need to be clear here.

#12 is 32 1/4"

#14 is 38 5/8"

Center to center of bolts.

Oh... The link is the 32.25 and the panhard bar, which is what we're talking about, is the 38.63

In which case...

4" down will be .208 over
6" down will be .469 over
12" down will be 1.911 over

At risk of sounding redundant. If dropping in raising only could inhibit more than help, why not fabricate extensions on each side to cut the local deviation in half while maintaining the overall accommodation? Obviously, you would need to be pretty complete as far as you suspension setup, because nobody wants new extension s every time they add or remove something, but it could work. Keep the bar in it's stock location(respectively), avoid clearance issues, and gain stability. I notice the side hop hitting bump during turns on paved roads and I don't like it at all.

Looking at it, its probably more worth it to just buy the 100 dollar adjustable bar from suicide doors...

The adjustable bar doesn't help side-hop, only helps with the offset appearance of the rear axle.

Are you talking about axle hop or body hop, because panhard bars are made to prevent axle hop and the right panhard bar will reduce it more than one that's the wrong size for the suspension... so in theory the bar will help slightly. I mean i may be wrong, this is just my understanding of it from a little reading and experience.

An adjusted bar to re-center the axle will help slightly with axle hop. But since the bar isn't completely horizontal as it's designed to be, and instead at an angle, it can't be as effective.

While we're discussing this, has anyone measured a stock truck to see if the diff is dead centered, or if GM set a little off?

I'm asking if anyone has the numbers for a stock truck. ;) I can measure, just haven't done a stock one (yet).
