Front strut question

How important is it for the rubber bushing (that sits inbetween the two bolts that hold the strut to the frame) to be raised above the hole that is drilled for it? I was going to add more lift to the truck (inside the strut) and I am afraid that the bushing will be sitting below the hole, not above it. Will this be a problem?

It's the big rubber circle with the single bolt on top in the attached picture.
