Just put in the 87's and Bilstein HD shocks...

Measuring from the fender straight above the hub:

Went from 33.5 with stock struts/springs + MarkMC 1/2" top spacer, with my armor and bumper; to 35.0" with Bilstein HDs, still MarkMC 1/2" top spacer, and 87s, after 5 miles of driving.

This is with 245/70-17 BFG ATs on stock wheels, without spacers.

What springs did you have?
Do you notice the stiffer springs much?

I'll have to look, but it's on one of these threads, somewhere... I'll look tomorrow....

Actually, I haven't driven it with the sway bar connected yet, but it seems like these are the spring rate that I would have put in the TB from the factory... Very little front end dive on braking, and the ride is very controlled, but not harsh...

I really like them...

Well, thanks to rgraboske, I now know what my stock front springs were.... I think I'm the only TB on here that had an 81 spring!!! 6CC is my driver side, which is an 83, and 7CB is pass side, which is an 81!!! WOW. No wonder I had to trim so much plastic from my fender liner to clear the 32s. Now that I think about it, I noticed more rubbing on compression on the pass side then I did on the driver side.

Well.... am I glad I updated the springs now. I had an 81!!!!

After a weekend of running around off road with the winch on the front, and the front sway bar disconnected, with the winch back off, I'm now at a 34.88" average to the fender above the hub; so it only settled ~1/8"

Must have just been how it was loaded yesterday... At 42PSI and no winch, I'm at a 35.125 average to the fender, above the hub...

I too have 83's. Just got the 87's cant wait to put them in. Bartonmd did you keep Marks half inch spacer in? I have the BDS lift and I'm curious to find out what it measures with Marks spacer. My plans are to eventually get Your bumper and a winch so I'm sure it will settle a bit.

Drove it to work with the sway bar reconnected this morning... This is officially the way these should have come from the factory. With my bumper and skids, it rides like a family sedan with the good suspension package (F41, FE3, etc)...

You think it rides better with the front connected? I think you're alone on that one brother.

10 days since install... 34.175" mean. I love the way the truck feels so far. Will see how it is in another week.

It definitely rides smoother with the front disconnected, but it handles MUCH better with MUCH less body roll, and is still has acceptable ride quality with the front reconnected...

I drove it for 3 days with the front disconnected after the springs (and 5 days with the old springs), and could never get used to the body roll in corners... I wouldn't let my wife drive it disconnected, if that says anything...

Just figured out that I am running 84's and 85's on the front of my Trailblazer lol. Now I just got to thinbk about what spring I want to go up to. Bumper, Rad and Oil Pan skid, Plus 12,000 LB winch. What do you all think I should go for up front. I got the I6 and the EXT lol. Any ideas?

Personally, since these are "EXT" springs that the SWB guys are getting lift from... I'd be getting the heaviest EXT springs I could get, if I was an EXT guy... I'd go 89's if they're at all available...

Yeah, I know, but since they were more $$, I wasn't sure they were actually available; or if they were just a part number...
