fishsticks wrote:I can take additional pics if you want... I think I may just organize and write this whole process up into an article. I dunno if JD wants to publish it yet though, seeing how it's still semi-experimental.

That is the point in which I pick up a couple of D44s and go balls to the wall. As for now.... the second rear spacer set gets cut in half, and a set of DJM arms will get mocked up and taken to a shop to get cut down to the perfect size to run with the 2.75" I currently have. Then on to body lift & 33s.
Sorry if this constitutes a thread hijack

Is it bad that I left a guy a message on a 4.09 geared D44 last night?

I'm also experiencing some more vibrations in the wheel while driving around 50mph+, I keep telling myself its from my tires that are super worn and have only been balanced when they were first installed and the problem will go away after I get new ones but is the "shimmey" caused by the extra height?
fishsticks wrote:A couple interesting things: First off, the Suspensionmaxx "1/2 inch" shims are actually only 3/8" thick. Secondly, my UHMW, which I thought was only 3/8" thick, is actually 7/16" thick. Stacking it nets 7/8 instead of the original 3/4 I thought I'd get.
ried to move the motor when I turned the wheel by hand. No go.
