Where'd you find them that cheap? May go with them if I can find the same deal, otherwise, I'm gonna try for Nitto Trail Grapplers once they put out the new size later this year.

Well done. I dont have a matching spare, but have a set of same sized spares on wheels that I can use any one as a spare or swap the set if ever needed.

5 tire rotation is nice, but I like new tires and its easier to wear out 4 than 5 and when they where out I can try some new ones.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

WOW... just goes to prove the rule of Supply/Demand. When I first got my BFGs, I got all 4 for $300! I should have bought 10! When I got my 5th tire, I paid over 100 just for the tire... Seems as though the price keeps rising for these tires.

I absolutely love my tires though. Great choice, Jim. We'll have to get the locals out and get our trucks nice and dirty when you're all set up. :flex dirty:

Ooops! Didn't think about the spare. Will have to go back and get another one. Got them from an ebay seller "YourNextTire". At the time of order he had a dozen of them left. 255/75/17's

Yeah, they're the only one that BFG is still producing because they are/were the stock tire for the Rubicon edition Jeeps.

They have the different tread pattern, as referenced in my post on the prior page.

If it's on a 16" rim it is... if it's on a 17" rim, it's a 32".

You have to do the math:

255mm * 0.75 = 191.25mm profile height

191.25mm = 7.52in

17in rim + ( 7.52in * 2 ) = 32.04in overall diameter

16in rim + ( 7.52in * 2 ) = 31.04in overall diameter

Dind ding ding! You are correct sir..

And good call on snaggin up a 5th for your spare. Very good prices indeed! I wish I had 17" wheels, but my TB had the 18" ers. But can't wait to see some pics once you get em on, and you should start your own build thread. :friday:

Highway Tread... I don't see the point in wasting perfectly good offroad tires in the city. That'd be my choice if you have a separate set of tires specifically for offroading.

See for example: Goodyear Fortera SilentArmor

Or at most a streetable A/T like the Firestone Destination A/T or the Bridgestone Dueler A/T

Firestone:

Bridgestone:

They'll perform much better in the wet and on the asphalt, and get better mileage to boot.
